He's got some little fun stuff going for him, my dog. None of that is necessarily bad, but some of the things he does are really entertaining. In these corona times, I therefore thought to entertain you (and myself!) by telling about some of them. 🙂 Have fun!
Toilet paper
When I sit on dass and want to dry myself, Boyo would like to join and help. He likes to hold the paper with me, and disregarding the horrendous impracticality of that situation, it actually looks pretty cool.
However, it is nothing I think is ok for him to do, so every time he tries to grab my toilet paper he gets a solid no. I would like to dry myself without fur-clad assistance. 😀
Evening talk
Boyo has three dog beds. One will very soon be far too small – when he got home he could squeeze himself into one half of it. The others are quite large and will work for a long time, I hope.
Regardless of the size on the beds; when Boyo lays down in one of them because he is tired, does he have a tendency to want to talk to himself. It's really cute to listen to the beeping and discussing he has going on. So far, he also has a rather squeaky voice, but I don't think he'll ever beat the king of all beeping; Mysa. 😀
Leaf
Boyo likes to chase leaves. We do not agree on the usefulness and pleasure of that pursuit. Personally, I believe that it is a behavior that can easily develop into stress and beyond obsession (I have a bad memory and can't remember what it's called in Swedish), and therefore I prefer to see it cease.
Then you can think it looks cute, but if you think a step further, it's not so very cute.
Daydreams
This has actually only happened once, but it was so hysterically funny. All of a sudden, Boyo lies on his side and starts swinging his front legs as if he were swimming or running. Much like a dog does when they dream, only with the front legs, and also very clearly. In addition, he peed a little.
I got myself one very good laugh that time, I can promise. Also think I was lucky enough to catch it on film. 🙂
Dog and cat
This is it really no hiccups, but worth bringing up anyway. Molly, my almost eight-year-old cat, sometimes imagines that she and Boyo should snuggle together.
This means that she goes and has a little fight with him, and likes to sit next to him on the dog bed. She does it almost exclusively when he is very tired, but it is very, very clever when it happens.
Even this believe I that I have managed to capture on film on one occasion.
Cars
Let's go on the sidewalk along a busy road, Boyo has discovered that it's a lot of fun to rush out at full length to chase the cars that go by. I take the leaves, any day, rather than chasing cars. Although Boyo will be a fairly large dog, the cars are bigger, heavier, faster and on the whole, both tougher and more dangerous.
This is yet so long a hush, but if I didn't get hold of it, it could eventually become life-threatening.
