Seriously, he's growing so I can hear how it cracks in that little body. That's not wise at all. That's how I gape, because some days I think he has had time to grow visibly between meals. Not to mention overnight. There is little progress at times; last week and the week before I thought he wasn't growing much, but now he's up and running again.
It really is no wonder he sleeps as much as he does. There is so much going on in his body that he really needs the rest. I kind of don't understand how that's even possible. I was thinking earlier today about how fast children grow – and human children take quite a few years to become fully grown. A dog becomes fully grown in a couple of years (maybe more, depending on breed/size), so they must grow quite fast.
It wasn't like this with Ella. She took a very long time to grow. Then she was quite small as an adult as well, also for being a bitch.
Men Boyo. He will not be a small dog. I weighed him a week ago, and then he weighed fifteen. I'll really try to stick around until next week, but I would give a lot to go and weigh him tomorrow or Friday to see how much he has gained.
It's tricky, this about how much food to give a growing puppy. It varies depending on what feed you give, how hungry the puppy is and so on, but I think it's tricky anyway. You want the puppy to work in the stomach (ie; shit normal), you want the puppy to grow – but not too fast, and then you want the puppy to be full.
Boyo was still to able to imagine a little more food. I have adjusted the amount several times, both up and down in quantity. Right now he gets 7dl/day (in total), but I think he could certainly think of at least one more dec. Although it is with that amount of food that he gained so much weight in a very short time, and it doesn't feel quite right. He simply has to live with 7dl/day for a little while longer, so we'll see in maybe a couple of weeks or so.
On Sunday will be he four months, lillherrn. My Pip-Larsson. The gold nugget. The Little Prince. I already forgot how small he was when I picked him up.
It will be so insanely interesting to see how big he actually gets in the end. He will definitely be bigger than Ella (it's not that hard, actually). But it will also be interesting to see how he will look in the body. Ella was small and pointy, she was a real little prick. I think Boyo will be relatively rough in body, actually.
The one who lives will see. While he grows and thrives, I listen to Molly, who is lying snoring on the claw barrel here next to me. ♥
