I know I'm harping on this, but I do not cease to be fascinated by how extremely special my dog was. I understand that it sounds like I've had the most remarkable dog, and in a way I have it. But the fact is that the more “usual” Dogs I meet on, the more I realize how special she was.
For a few hours Then I was on my way up to Rastgården to meet a friend and take home her dog (Mysa, Bichon Havanais, 7 years old) for the night and over tomorrow. On the way there I happened to meet a girl who lives in the gate on the other side of the house, that have a pair of border collies I might have here in the future. I have only seen them at a distance before when I have been out with Ella, So it was fun to run on them now (We have also booked in to be seen properly next week).
Her oldest dog is three years, and the youngest is about five, six months or so. Apparently the youngster starts to come into teens, And it is usually a period that can be really damn good. I remember Ella's teenage period with some horror.
That one gets me to write the preamble I just wrote, is the intensity of these border collies had. And, the elder, he was very reserved and stayed a bit at a distance, But the younger one was forward and wanted to health. Jumped a bit he did too.
And for me does this appear like a wet dream, If I compare with Ella. Oh my God, That is nothing.
Have i mentioned that Ella was seventeen steam locomotive in collision, During every second of one's life? Have I mentioned that during Ella's last six months, did she have an energy level like a normal young adult dog? Certainly, She was tired, Had pain, and her energy outbursts when we met people she likes didn't last as long as before. But I suspect that as she was then, was roughly in the style of a very common, over a young dog or young adult dog.
When Ella was a young dog, and young adult dog, Do I know that I have several friends who looked and in their still mind, without saying anything, thought I couldn't handle Ella. The gods should know that I have not been in the best condition during Ella's whole life, and there have been periods when much was desirable on my part. But I also know that even those who think they know what it is like to handle a high -energy dog, do not have the faintest idea of what it is like to have and live with a defense -bred dog.
It's like one thing to have a dog that has a normal energy level for everyday, but triggered and get started on some things. Or a dog that gets dirty and ashyg when it knows where you are going (For example, the rest yard), But that can be brought down the energy level at decent light and easy.
It's a whole other things to have a dog that is bred for never getting tired. Ever. A dog that can rest for a few minutes and then run on in thousands of knuckles per hour, A whole day. A dog that takes so much mental, intellectual, Emotional and physical place that it is constantly required to be there to cushion the intensity.
This is, I think, My biggest reason for not recommending private individuals to take on a defense -born dog. If you intend to do that, it is good if you have experience with dogs that require a lot, for that do these dogs. All the time. Not a couple of hours a week, Without twenty -four hours a day. Hela time. Non Fucking Fucking Stop. And that only by being themselves.
You work with dog (typ; polis, guardian or similar) or possibly spending extremely much time training/competing with dog, then a FM dog can certainly be both fun and good to have.
Although the Armed Forces Dogs are not easy to live with every time, So I am incredibly grateful that I had the privilege of sharing my life with Ella. She has taught me so Extremely much about having dog, how to handle dog, and with the risk of sounding damn good, I have a hard time imagining that I will ever have a problem with any dog in the future.
It is also this that makes me so incredibly interested in communicating with dogs in dogs' way. This is what has proven to be most effective with Ella. Training things does not automatically make a dog lower its energy level. That's why I come with all my dogs in the future, to use energy and body language as a method, rather than traditional training. And it will be so sickly interesting to see how my future dogs will be.
