This weekend is the last weekend Molly and I have to ourselves for a while. It will be alive in the hatch for several weeks, just in time until I bring Boyo home. And then there will be life in the gap because of him. Oh my God, what have we got ourselves into, Me and Molly? 😀
Kidding aside; it will be full for weeks now. First of all, I have Lilo and Floki here in the weeks. On Friday, the polar mix Egon will be here and will stay until the day before I go to Skåne and bring Boyo home. Meanwhile, Mysak also arrives, the little pip pill, to be here for several days.
The fact is that I during these weeks will (already informed) put an end to Floki and take a little break from that commitment. To begin with, I live quite cramped and four dogs at the same time for a long time gets very sweaty. In addition, I will have to spend a lot of time mainly getting Boyo's room clean when he gets home. I won't be able to handle having both Lilo and Floki here then.
However, will me to have Lilo here after that week when Boyo has come home. Lilo will be worth her weight in gold when it comes to helping me raise him. I have already seen her be very clear in her boundary setting towards, among other things, the neighbor puppy Mozart, so it's going to be amazing.

When Lilo started be with me, her mother meant that she (Lilo, in other words) was submissive. Now a couple of months have passed, and I'm inclined to disagree. Maybe I wouldn't say she's necessarily dominant, but she is definitely not submissive. She is very good at setting boundaries with other dogs, and has helped me with Floki in a very clear way on at least one occasion (which in the context is not that much, but still).
Me and hers mate has stated that it is only now that she is starting to show her true self, when she was given the time and space to land in actually having a good life instead of producing puppies on one puppy mill. It's incredibly cool to see, and a pleasure to experience.
Lilo has overall an amazing energy that I really like. She is coal fired most of the time, but believe it or not, she actually has a very mischievous side that shows when Floki is here. You would think that Floki is always the one who starts the mischief, but she can too, this little lady.
When Floki started being with me he was a nightmare on a leash. Actually like that so I snapped and thought this is never going to work. Thankfully, his math is both sensible and receptive, so we've had many good conversations about how she can mainly help him gain some sense and etiquette on his walks. And the fact is that he has gone through a huge change in this time. He is far away awesome, but now it's no longer a pain but it's starting to be relatively pleasant. However, he easily loses concentration after a while, so there is clearly room for improvement.
But I am impressed and his math deserves all the credit, because she is the one who worked with him. I just reap the rewards. 😛

Regarding Flocks, dock, he still has an energy approaching stress, which means that he is not always easy to deal with (mainly in dog meetings, or when he sees/hears dogs in the distance). He has difficulty relaxing, and it doesn't take much for him to get going. Also, he has a tendency to start Lilo when we're inside. I really don't mind mischief, but there are limits.
For that reason do I need a break from Floki when there are going to be several other dogs here, and also soon a puppy. I will be busy keeping Lilo organized, Egon and Mysak, which are nevertheless calm and composed dogs, and then it's time to bring home Boyo, who is to be cleaned – and also need to rest between meals, the peeing and pooping, chewing and playing.
However, will it being very good for Floki to spend time with Egon. They met there just before Christmas, and I think Egon will be a great influence on Floki. It is my great hope that Egon needs to be with me more times in the future, so that Boyo can meet him and learn some decency from an old man. ♥
Since Ella became as an adult, she didn't work very well with very many dogs. Therefore, this thing about using other dogs in foster care is completely new to me, and I like it very much. I think Boyo will be a super dog – largely because he will have other good dogs around him (but not only).
